No Wages For SAAB Workers

Troubled carmaker SAAB has indicated there is not enough money to pay its workers. Owner Swedish Automobile (formerly known as Spyker) is attempting to obtain short-term funding to alleviate the problem. Earlier this month a provisional deal was struck with two Chinese investors but approval from Chinese and European regulators and the European investment bank is required before it can proceed. If the deal is concluded both Swedish carmakers will be in Chinese ownership as Volvo was acquired by the Zhejiang Geely Group last August.
